Meet Our Staff Champions – Karen & Ayo

Supporting Our Team

At our service, we know that quality care begins with a strong and supported team. That is why we are proud to recognise Karen and Ayo as our dedicated Staff Champions.

They provide a trusted and approachable point of contact for staff members who may need guidance, reassurance, or support within the workplace.

Karen and Ayo help staff raise concerns, discuss workplace challenges, and maintain professional boundaries while working in care.

They offer support, encouragement, and a listening ear to colleagues who may be facing difficulties or simply need someone to talk to.

Their role helps promote openness, respect, and teamwork across the service, ensuring staff feel heard, valued, and supported in their roles.

What Our Staff Champions Do

Cultural Support and Inclusion

Our care team is made up of people from many different cultures and backgrounds, and Karen and Ayo play an important role in helping bring everyone together.

They help bridge cultural gaps by encouraging understanding, inclusion, and mutual respect amongst staff.

Their support helps create a positive working environment where people feel comfortable being themselves while working together as one team with shared values and high standards.

Care work is rewarding, but it can also be challenging. Having trusted staff advocates within the team helps create a positive workplace culture, improves staff wellbeing, and encourages confidence and professionalism.

When staff feel supported, respected, and valued, this directly benefits the people we care for and helps us continue delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
