Sometimes just getting up and carrying on is brave and magnificent
A Gentle Start to May
May often feels like a turning point. The days are longer, the light is brighter, and there is a quiet sense of things opening again.
For some, this brings energy and motivation. For others, it can feel like pressure to do more. Wherever you find yourself, please remember there is no rush. Steady and comfortable is more than enough.

A Fond Farewell
We would like to share some important news with you, as we say goodbye to two much-loved members of our care team. Marion Gardner, after 9 years of dedicated service, and , after, have both now retired. Many of you will know Marion and Kim well. They have been familiar, trusted faces in so many homes, providing not just care, but companionship, reassurance, and a listening ear when it was needed most. That sort of commitment isn’t something you train overnight it comes from years of doing the job properly, with heart. We know they will be greatly missed by both clients and colleagues alike. We would like to thank them both sincerely for everything they have done over the years and for the difference they have made to so many lives.
Please join us in wishing Marion and Kim a long, happy, and well-deserved retirement.
Growing Our Service
We are pleased to share that we are continuing to expand our services across new areas, now covering from Maidstone down to Ashford and across to Edenbridge.
This allows us to support more people in their own homes while maintaining the same high standards of care.
If you have family members, friends, or neighbours in these areas who may benefit from support, please feel free to let them know about us.
We are always happy to have a conversation, offer guidance, and see how we can help.
Client Surveys Your Feedback Matters
Client surveys will be sent out or delivered by your care team over the coming weeks We would really appreciate you taking a few minutes to complete these and return them via your care staff, the office, or by post.
Your feedback helps us improve and provides important evidence during inspections by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), showing that people feel safe, supported, and well cared for.
Thank You for Your Support
We are still in the final stages of a Care Home Award selection

Supporting Those Caring for a Loved One
As the world becomes brighter and more active, this time of year can feel particularly difficult for those caring for someone who is unwell.
While others may be enjoying the season, your focus may be on comfort, change, and uncertainty.
Please remember:
- What you are doing is not easy
- Feeling overwhelmed is completely normal
- You do not have to manage this alone
We are here to support you as well as the person you care for.
A Time of Uncertainty
You may have seen in the news ongoing global tensions and rising living costs.
This can feel unsettling at times, and it is completely understandable to feel concerned.
- Your care remains stable
- Support continues as normal
- You are not facing things alone
If the news is becoming overwhelming, it’s okay to step back and focus on your day-to-day routine.

Looking Ahead to Summer
There is something about summer that lifts people, even in small ways.
Longer days, warmer evenings, and a bit lighter can make everyday life feel easier.
For some, it might mean:
- Sitting in the garden
- A cup of tea in the sunshine
- A short drive out
- Time with family
It doesn’t need to be anything big just small moments of comfort.
Staying Well This Season
- Keep drinking fluids regularly
- Eat little and often if needed
- Let us know if your needs change
- Take things one day at a time
Additional Support When You Need It
We understand that needs can change, sometimes quite quickly.
If you require any additional or short-term support, we are here to help. This may include:
- Respite care to give family members a break
- Sitting services for reassurance or companionship
- Extra visits during periods of illness or recovery
- Ad hoc support when things feel more difficult
There is no need to struggle or wait until things become overwhelming. Even a small amount of additional support can make a real difference.
A Reminder – We Are Here
Whether you need to:
- Adjust your care
- Ask a question
- Raise a concern
- Or simply talk
Please contact us you are never a burden.
A Thought for the Month
Not everything needs to move quickly.
Sometimes progress is simply:
- Getting through the day
- Keeping your routine
- Accepting support
And that is more than enough.
With warm wishes,
Enabling Care For You
