Each November, we come together as a nation to honour those who served, those who sacrificed, and those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy today.
Remembrance Sunday this year falls on Sunday, 9th November 2025, and we will pause at 11:00 am for the traditional two minutes’ silence. A simple but powerful moment to reflect, remember, and give thanks.
Whether you stand at your front door, attend a local parade, watch the service on television, or simply hold a loved one in your thoughts, every act of remembrance matters. We especially remember those in our care community who served, or whose family members served, in the Armed Forces. Your stories, courage, and memories remind us of the true meaning of sacrifice and resilience.
There are many small ways you can take part from home this year:
• Display a poppy in your window as a sign of remembrance.
• Listen to the national service on the radio or watch it live on TV.
• Share your stories or memories with family, friends, or carers.
If you’re unable to get hold of a poppy yourself, please let us know. We have a box at the office and will be more than happy to arrange one for you.
“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”
“Never have so many owed so much to so few.” – Sir Winston Churchill 🇬🇧
These timeless words capture the spirit of Remembrance perfectly. A tribute to the extraordinary bravery, sacrifice, and service of those who gave everything so that future generations could live in peace.
