Where To Start

Where Do I Start Looking For Care?

When you are looking for care, you first need to ask yourself: Where do I want to be cared for?

When you decide on the type of care you need?

  • It is important to do some research on the providers.
  • Ask locally for recommendations.
  • Search online for care providers in your local area and create a shortlist of the companies that provide the services you require.
  • Check their latest report on the Caer Inspectorate website
  • Look online at any reviews and testimonials they have.
  • Call some providers to ask any questions you may have.

Below are some great questions that you may want to ask:

What training do you give your staff?

All staff undertake a minimum of 18 courses to complete, along with the option to undertake monthly courses, specialised courses, and QCF in care level 2 + 3

What capacity do you have and how soon could you start?

This will depend on what area you live in and the number of calls you require per day. Our target normally is to be able to start a care package within 24-48 hours of first enquiry (With a covid-19 clear swab)

Will I be tied into a contract?

Your contract will require 28 days’ notice – this Is normal across the industry – This does not apply in the case of death or hospitalisation

What are your costs?

The costs are worked out by the number of staff visits you require per day.

Will I have the same care worker each visit?

Our staff work on a 4 on 4 off rolling rota so you will have the same staff in your package on a rota.

Do you have an information pack you could send me?

Yes

Do you have a local office that I could visit to speak to someone?
