A cheerful Easter hello from all of us at Enabling Care For You
A Warm Easter Welcome
As Easter arrives, we begin to see the first proper signs of spring. The days are longer, the mornings a little brighter, and there is that familiar feeling that the year is beginning to open up again. Whether Easter is a faith celebration for you, a family tradition, or simply a welcome change of season, we hope it brings some comfort, calm, and a few brighter moments.
As always, our focus stays exactly where it should be – on providing reliable, respectful care in your own home, with kindness, consistency, and a bit of common sense.

Office Updates
There have been a few important changes within the office, and we wanted to explain clearly who is doing what, so you know exactly where to go for help.
Vicki has had a promotion
Vicki has had a well-earned promotion and is now in the office ensuring that all spot checks and field staff compliance are being overseen properly. This helps us keep standards high, support staff in the field, and make sure the service is being monitored as it should be.
Care Co-ordination Team
We now have dedicated care co-ordination in place. Whitney manage the schedules and work hard to ensure calls are rotated in line with client preferences wherever possible. That means better oversight of visits, timings, and consistency.

In-Person Care Reviews
Lesley will be completing more in-person reviews over the coming weeks.
If you would like to book a review, please call the office and this can be arranged.
If not, Lesley will contact you in due course to organise a suitable time.
These reviews are a good opportunity to talk through your care, raise any worries, and make sure everything is still working as it should. Sometimes a simple conversation sorts more than people expect.
We really need your support
Please review us on www.homecare.co.uk
We are in the finals of a care award selection, and we genuinely need your support to help push us over the line. Honest client feedback makes a real difference, both for the award and for other families looking for a dependable home care service.
- All clients will have a review form in their care folder.
- If you have misplaced your form, please let us know and we will happily send you a new one.
- If you are familiar with the internet, you can leave your review online by visiting homecare.co.uk.
- Every review helps recognise the hard work of our care staff and supports the service as a whole.
Supporting Those Caring for a Loved One
For those who are caring for someone at the end of life, this time of year can feel particularly difficult.
Spring brings with it a sense of renewal. The world outside becomes brighter, busier, and full of promise. But for many families, life may feel very different behind closed doors.
You may be experiencing:
- Emotional and physical exhaustion
- A sense of isolation
- Anticipatory grief
- The weight of responsibility
- Moments of guilt for feeling overwhelmed
While everything outside suggests new beginnings, your focus may be on comfort, decline, and preparing for what lies ahead. That contrast can feel incredibly heavy.
It is important to say this plainly:
- What you are doing is not easy
- There is no “right” way to cope
- You are not expected to manage this alone
Caring for someone at the end of their life is one of the most demanding roles a person can take on. It requires strength, patience, and compassion often while you are quietly carrying your own emotions.
Please remember:
- It is okay to feel tired
- It is okay to feel upset or overwhelmed
- It is okay to ask for help
Our team is here not only for the person receiving care, but for you as well. If you need more support, time, or simply someone to talk to, please let us know.
You do not have to carry this on your own, we are here
Client Surveys –Your Feedback Matters
Over the coming weeks, client surveys will be sent out or delivered by your care team. We would really appreciate you taking the time to complete these and return them either by giving them back to your care staff, dropping them into the office, or posting them back to us. Your feedback is extremely important as it helps us understand what we are doing well and where we need to improve, ensuring your care continues to meet your needs. It also plays a vital role during inspections by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), who look for real feedback from clients to see that people feel safe, well cared for, and that services are responsive and continuously improving. Honest feedback, whether positive or constructive, genuinely helps us maintain high standards and provide the best possible care.
Easter in the Community
For those who feel up to getting out and about – or who have family visiting over the Easter break – there are some lovely local things happening in the community this spring. Here are a few examples nearby:
Easter Activities in Kent
Gentle Walks & Spring Gardens
If someone just wants fresh air without the fuss:
- Ightham Mote
Quiet gardens, seating areas, and a slower pace—ideal for a gentle outing. - Knole Park
Wide open space, flat walking routes, and places to sit and watch the deer. - Sissinghurst Castle Garden
Known for its spring flowers more about strolling than rushing
Easter Afternoon Teas & Cafés
For many people, this is far more appealing than an “event”:
- Local tea rooms and garden cafés across Hadlow, Tonbridge, and Maidstone
- Seasonal Easter afternoon teas (often quieter midweek)
A cup of tea somewhere different can be just enough of a change.
Traditional Easter Services
- Local Church of England churches across Kent
- Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday services
Local churches and village groups often hold Easter services, fairs, tea afternoons, and small seasonal events across the Easter weekend.
Do check details before travelling, as times and arrangements can sometimes change. British events and British weather have one thing in common: they do not always do exactly what they promised.
Spring Wellbeing – A few sensible reminders
Please keep warm, especially in the mornings and evenings.
Keep drinking regularly, even if you do not feel especially thirsty.
Let us know early if you feel more unwell, more tired, more breathless, or less steady on your feet.
Keep your phone nearby in case we need to update you about your care visit.
Thank you
Thank you for your continued support, your trust, and your feedback. Whether it is a kind word, a review, a concern raised honestly, or simply working with us day to day – it all matters, and we do not take any of it for granted.
With warm Easter wishes from all of us at Enabling Care For You.
