Our clinical support workers provide professional support for a wide range of service users. We offer:

Care for older people, enabling them to be as independent as they can with the help and support of staff within their homes and the wider community.
Care for adults with specialist or complex needs, such as physical disabilities.

We also offer care support for individuals and their families at the end of life. Tailored support to enable individuals to recover their independence after a period of illness, injury or stay in hospital.
Respite for family members who are caring for an individual
We can support with night cover either as a sleep-in or a ‘waking night’.
Services commissioned through KCC and the NHS. Enabling Care For You Ltd services are also privately funded by individual service users or their families.

PASS, Care Management Tool

Enabling Care For You uses the latest IT systems throughout the company.

PASS is a comprehensive, outcome-focused and person-centred digital care management tool for carers, care managers and commissioners.

PASS provides all key information at the point of care and builds a robust audit trail of all care provided.

PASS is linked to GP Connect, which allows authorised care professionals to share and view GP practice clinical information and data between IT systems, quickly and efficiently. The service makes patient medical information available to all appropriate clinicians when and where they need it to support direct patient care, leading to improvements in both care and outcomes. This means we can work seamlessly with medical and healthcare colleagues to provide the best possible care and clinical pathways to the individuals we support.

We can provide live information recording about the care and support for the individual instantly.
Ensure the teams are aware when an individual’s needs change and respond to them reactively.
Offer the ability to use and compare data to improve an individual’s care.
Help information to be shared quickly, accurately and safely to support the provision of health and care services

Meet the team

Philippa Potter

Registered Manager/Owner

Philippa and Lesley started Enabling Care For You in 2013.

She had worked with Lesley in her residential home in Plaxtol, Sevenoaks, for several years. Philippa was a manager in this residential setting. After the birth of her youngest child, Philippa had a calling to work in the community.

Philippa worked for a mental health charity for two years before applying to work with KCC Commercial Service’s flagship care agency.

Philippa progressed within 6 months from a branch manager to a Registered Manager of Kent and Brighton, and was also promoted to Area Manager.

Currently undertaking her Level 7 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management, Philippa has a proven record of combining academic learning with practical expertise. She completed her Level 5 NVQ in Leadership for Health and Social Care in 2008, following earlier achievements of Levels 2, 3, and 4 in Care.

She loved the challenge of managing an agency but felt she could do it better, so she approached Lesley. This is how Enabling Care For You was created.

Philippa brings with her over 20 years of experience in care.

Enabling Care For You specialises in looking after adults with palliative care or long-term health conditions.

Lesley Pell

Manager/Owner

Lesley worked in care in residential settings for many years whilst she had a young family.

Lesley decided to set up her own residential home within her own family home in 1994. This grew from one client to 5 and closed in 2017, after 24 years, due to family logistics.

Lesley became more involved in the day-to-day running of Enabling Care For You.

Lesley holds the Registered Manager’s Award (RMA) and has completed Levels 2, 3, and 4 in Health and Social Care, reflecting both her practical skill and her leadership ability. Lesley brings with her over 30 years of experience in different care settings.

Teresa Macklin

Head of Operations and Care

Teresa has worked in Health and Social Care for eight years

She has worked with different Care Providers to gain skills and knowledge in Home Care, Palliative Care and assessment.

Teresa joined Enabling Care for You Ltd four years ago and has progressed from working in the field to being Head of Operations and Care, studying and gaining her Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Teresa is reliable and always willing to go the extra mile for both Clients and Staff in ensuring that high standards are always maintained.

She has a great organisational mind and is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of Enabling Care For You, as well as liaising with Professionals to facilitate hospital discharges.

Amelia-Jane Lefever

Office Supervisor/Trainee Assessor

Amelia-Jane is the youngest in the office. After completing her Diploma in Business Administration, Amelia went on to achieve her Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. She is now working towards her Level 5 Diploma in People Management.

Being Enabling Care For You’s administrative assistant, numerous situations arise on a day-to-day basis, but after 5 years of being a Clinical Support Worker in the field, Amelia is expeditious in aiding staff and clients.

Whitney Bushrod

Administrative Assistant

Recently, Whitney has entered the care sector after being in customer services for multiple years. After dealing with a variety of different people, Whitney now would like to expand her career, skills and knowledge into Healthcare.

Whitney is ambitious and driven to give people her support and caring nature to others. Whitney is driven for success and growth in care and will be completing her NVQ in the near future. Whitney is always up for any challenge that is sent her way.

Whitney is currently completing her Level 3 qualification in Business Administration, building on her leadership and organisational strengths.

Amy Hougham

Team Leader

Amy began her working career in retail, but after some time realised she wanted a more rewarding and hands-on role where she could truly make a difference. This led her to change career paths and move into the care sector, starting in a care home setting. There, she supported older adults and those under 65 living with dementia, physical disabilities or requiring residential or nursing care.

While Amy loved this work, she was keen to broaden her skills and support people with more complex needs. She transitioned into community care, where she has spent the past seven years providing highly clinical and complex support in people’s homes.

Amy’s commitment, loyalty and consistently person-centred approach have earned her excellent feedback from clients, families and colleagues alike. In recognition of her dedication and expertise, she completed her Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care and is preparing to undertake her Level 5.

Recently promoted to Team Leader, Amy now supports both clients and staff in the field while also taking on additional responsibilities from the office. Her wealth of experience, clinical knowledge and compassionate leadership make her an invaluable member of the team.
